Very disappointing experience
Very disappointing experience — cancellation was apparently not registered On August 29, I registered on this website for a trial subscription, which cost me $2. After trying the service, I decided that it was too expensive for my needs. Within approximately 30–60 minutes of registering, I canceled the subscription. After canceling, I checked the billing section and it clearly showed that my subscription would be canceled on August 30. Based on that information, I reasonably assumed that the cancellation had been successfully processed and that I would not be charged again. However, on August 30, instead of being canceled, the subscription was automatically converted into a paid subscription, and I was charged an additional $30. The billing information then showed that the next renewal would be on September 30. I did the cancellation again. I immediately contacted customer support. Their response was that they could not see any cancellation before the $30 charge and that, according to their records, I only canceled the subscription after the $30 payment had already been taken. This is exactly the problem I am raising. I did cancel the subscription on August 29, shortly after starting the trial. If the cancellation had been properly captured and registered by their system, the subscription should not have renewed and I should not have been charged $30. Instead, their system apparently failed to register my cancellation, while the billing system proceeded with the renewal. From a customer's perspective, this is extremely concerning. Whether this is a technical failure or a deliberate design choice, the result is the same: I was charged for a subscription that I had already attempted to cancel. I would strongly recommend that anyone using this service carefully check their billing status after canceling a trial and keep screenshots or other evidence of the cancellation. For me, the issue is not simply the $30. It is the lack of confidence in the cancellation and billing process and the fact that customer support is relying entirely on what their system records, rather than addressing the possibility that their system failed to register the cancellation. Very disappointing experience. My Ticket ID with them: #129055095
