Deceptive Branding and Frustrating Customer Service
I signed up for a three-month ImagineArt subscription after online search results and page titles repeatedly displayed the name “HeyGen,” which led me to believe the service was affiliated with HeyGen. Once the charge went through and I realized ImagineArt was a different company, I immediately canceled. I never used the service or consumed any credits. Trying to reach an actual person was extremely frustrating. I could not find a phone number or clearly accessible email address on the pages I used, and the online chat appeared to be handled entirely by an AI bot. After spending nearly two hours trying to get help, the bot finally indicated that a person would contact me. I eventually received an email stating that no refund would be issued, even though I had promptly canceled and never used the service. Based on my experience, the branding was confusing, the customer-support process was unnecessarily difficult, and the refusal to refund an entirely unused subscription felt extremely unfair and deceptive. A reputable company that stands behind the value of its service should make its identity clear, provide an accessible way to reach a real person, and treat customers reasonably when a subscription has not been used. ImagineArt deceptively uses “HeyGen" throughout their website. I would strongly advise users to stay away from this company.
