I subscribed to an annual plan with ImagineArt, and on the same day I realized the platform wasn't what I expected: it's not intuitive at all, elements and pop-ups appeared everywhere, and generating a single image was surprisingly complicated. More than once, when trying to generate an image, the payment window would pop up directly, as if I had run out of tokens, when in fact I had already paid for my annual plan and still had tokens available to use. This made it even harder to work with the platform. The day after the charge, I checked their Refund Policy to see if I had any options, since I didn't want to keep something that would likely cause more problems down the line. Their policy explicitly states that a refund can be requested within 5 calendar days of purchasing an annual plan, provided usage stays under 300 credits; I had used only 8 images. I contacted support requesting a refund, and they responded as if I had asked to cancel my subscription, when I was specifically asking for my money back. In a second email, they told me I didn't qualify, with no explanation at all. When I asked why, they told me it had been a misinterpretation on my part of their own policy, even though the person handling my case admitted the wording could be clearer. Doing my own research, I found that ImagineArt has several different versions of their Refund Policy published across different pages, with conditions that contradict each other. I would have preferred a refund over having to deal with these kinds of technical issues. Since the tool wasn't what I expected, I think it's fair as a consumer to request a refund, given that I wasn't able to make proper use of the plan. I chose to try resolving this directly with the company rather than going through my bank, because I genuinely believe people and institutions can improve. While the tool didn't work out for me, I understand other users might get real value from it if they have more time than I do to work around its issues. That said, based on how their policy is written, leaving refund approval subject to very specific grounds without regard for the time frame and minimal usage the same policy recognizes as valid, I get the impression they'd only act if legally required to. It seems unnecessary, for both the user and the company, to have to reach that point.
